Great Voices To Learn From…

Great Voices To Learn From

This week I am giving you a list of great voices to learn from…

You can tap them in to Audible to hear them a read a book of your choice.

This type of accent learning is incredible helpful as they literally become the voice in your head.

Have you ever noticed that if you hang around with a particular friend – you start sounding like them? Or if you are living with your partner how you have picked up some of their habits and sayings, and even the way they deliver (say) those words or phrases?

Well, here is the good thing about that: that voice in your head doesn’t have to be your best friend or your partner!

You can choose a voice you love, admire or respect and play it endlessly in your head and you WILL start talking like them!

When I used to have to study to acheive accurate and authentic voices from different countries, to record within one scene in a sound studio session, I would literally brain wash myself with people’s voices from those countries.

I would make a cd of each particular accent e.g. an Iranian lady, an Egyptian lady and an Iraqi lady; and put these cd’s on repeat. Often I would go to sleep listening to them and the magical things was that I would always wake up being able to do the accent!

So, although I realise you wouldn’t want to be as much of a geek as I am (!) using Audible will be an excellent and much more enjoyable way of achieving the same results.

I will give you a list for women and a list for men so here goes:
